Gathered Years

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 13, 2026.

Who we are

Gathered Years provides The Family Photo Guide at gatheredyears.com. This policy explains how we handle information about website visitors, customers, and people who contact us. For privacy requests, email aidimao123@gmail.com.

Information we handle

When you email us, we receive your email address, any name you provide, and the contents of your message. For paid orders, we receive the customer and transaction information made available by the checkout provider, such as your email address, order reference, product, payment status, and refund status. Our hosting and security providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, request times, and pages requested to deliver and protect the website. We do not provide a photo-upload service; you can use the guide without sending us your family photographs.

How we use information

We use basic website activity counts to understand whether product information is useful and whether visitors proceed to checkout. We use information to answer questions, deliver purchases, resolve download problems, handle refunds, keep necessary transaction records, and protect the website against abuse. Where applicable, these activities rely on performing a contract, taking steps at your request before a purchase, complying with legal obligations, or our legitimate interests in customer support and website security. We do not sell personal information or use support messages to enroll you in marketing emails.

Checkout and service providers

When checkout is enabled, payments are handled through Creem. Payment details are entered with the checkout provider, rather than collected by a payment form on this website. We do not store full card numbers or card security codes. Creem explains its own processing in its Privacy Notice. Hosting, email, and payment providers process information needed to perform their services. We may also disclose information when required by law or to establish or defend legal claims.

Cookies and website technology

We use a small first-party analytics script to count homepage and product-page views and clicks that open Creem checkout. It sends the page path, event type, a broad referring-site category, a random event reference, and the request time to our own website. These are counts of page views and clicks, not unique people. We do not store your IP address, full referring URL, search terms, email address, or a persistent visitor identifier in these analytics records. We do not use advertising pixels or analytics cookies. Detailed analytics events are removed after 30 days when the next event is processed; daily aggregate counts may be retained to compare performance. The script respects browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Hosting and security services may use technical cookies or similar measures needed to provide and protect the site. External checkout pages operate under their own cookie and privacy notices. You can disable our analytics on this browser by opening this opt-out link; this saves only your opt-out preference locally. To enable it again, use this link. External checkout tracking is controlled separately. You can control cookies through your browser settings; restricting them may affect checkout or security functions.

Retention and security

We keep support correspondence and order information for as long as needed to resolve requests, provide purchased services, meet applicable accounting or other legal obligations, and address disputes. Retention depends on the type of information and those purposes; information is deleted when it is no longer needed. Access is limited to the people and providers who need it for these purposes. No method of online transmission or storage is completely secure.

International processing and your rights

Service providers may process information outside your country. Where the law requires safeguards for international transfers, those requirements apply to our handling of your information. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent where processing depends on it, and complain to a data protection authority. Email us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity and retain information that the law requires us to keep.

Children and policy changes

This website is intended for adults organizing family photographs and is not directed at children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can address it. Updates to this policy will appear on this page with a revised date. We will provide further notice where required by law.
